This summer we have been re-building our 67 A100. My daughter and my sons have been building the truck. We have re-inforced the rear spring mounts, upgraded the gears in the rear end, installed a 95 Dodge Magnum 360 V8 engine and a rebuilt transmission.
We found that we had to use conversion motor mounts to get the engine to fit on the old egine frame mounts.
The truck got a new windshield and rubber. The windshield has a tint to it to block the sun. The dog house is getting new insulation and sound proofing.
The brakes are being "beeefed up" with disc breaks front and back. The leaf springs have been re-arched to give the truck a better stance. The front end has all new joints.
The body work is still under construction. The engine is getting fuel injection with a on board computer.
All summer all my kids have been working on the truck to get it ready to go to Moparfest. Canada's largest car show.
The truck got trailered to the show. It drew alot of attention and questions.
It is back in the garge now and we are working on it a little bit at a time.
Slow and steady is the motto for this project.
